Winter Session

Our Winter Session is our main event of the year. It occurs annually between December 26 and December 31, and takes place inside the Legislature building. At this event, members participate in exciting debates, meaningful discussions, and challenging personal explorations. All resolutions that we debate are written by members, and everyone is encouraged to write about something that they are passionate about!

Anyone between the ages of 15 and 21 may attend Session. The TUXIS Parliament is a spiritual and non- denominational organization. We welcome members from any and all religions or belief systems.

Every other year, during the May Long weekend, members from the youth parliaments of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba gather in one of the four western provincial Legislatures for a special session that is similar to our December session.

In the years that the Western Youth Parliament is not being held, TUXIS hosts a condensed version of our December session in Calgary over the May Long weekend.
