The 101st Winter Session will be completely virtual to ensure that our members remain safe and healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, we are not charging a registration fee for this event.
Our winter Session is our main event of the year. It occurs annually between December 26 and December 31, and takes place inside the Legislature building. At this event, members participate in exciting debates, meaningful discussions, and challenging personal explorations. All resolutions that we debate are written by members, and everyone is able to write and move resolutions.
Anyone between the ages of 15 and 21 may attend Session. The TUXIS Parliament is a spiritual and non- denominational organization, and we welcome members from any and all religions or belief systems. You do not need to have attended any other events, or have any debate experience to attend Session.
What to Expect...
The majority of our Session takes place inside the Legislative chamber. This is where debate resolutions that are written by other members. The December Session is also where members debate and vote on bills that impact the operations of the Parliament, such as the budget and procedural changes. We follow the Westminster Parliamentary System, meaning that we have a government and opposition side, with a Speaker to moderate the debate. TUXIS is completely non-partisan and members are encouraged to speak based on how they feel about the topic.
Our upcoming Winter Session will be completely virtual to ensure that our members remain safe and healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We organize a wide variety of activities for when we are not in the Legislature. Our programs include team-building activities, games, debate education, resolution writing, and more. Our programming for the 101st Session will be conducted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
